About AutoSavant
Built from the buyer’s side of the table.
Car shopping asks people to make a major financial decision while navigating rankings, advertisements, conflicting opinions, and AI answers that can sound more certain than the evidence. AutoSavant was conceived to make that decision clearer, not to make it for you.
Why AutoSavant Exists
Most car-research tools begin with a vehicle, a listing, or a question you already know how to ask. AutoSavant begins earlier — with the buyer’s life, constraints, priorities, and the uncertainties most tools assume you can resolve on your own.
Many buyers begin shopping because of a need or a life change, not a specific make and model. The questions that actually shape the right decision are often the ones a buyer hasn’t yet thought to ask. AutoSavant was built to help bring that context to the surface, then carry it through every step of the workflow.
The Principles Behind It
- Ask before answering. Build a structured picture of the decision before suggesting options.
- Separate requirements from preferences. A must-have is different from a comfort range, and they should be weighted differently.
- Make assumptions and trade-offs visible. Competing priorities should be named explicitly, not buried in confident prose.
- Check important facts where reliable sources are available. When verification isn’t possible, the uncertainty should remain visible.
- Keep the decision with the buyer. AutoSavant organizes the information; you decide what fits your life.
How AutoSavant Uses AI
AI is useful for organizing information and identifying connections, but fluent answers are not automatically reliable answers. AutoSavant combines structured buyer context, explicit reasoning, and checked vehicle information to provide decision support rather than an unquestionable answer.
Independence
AutoSavant takes no dealer money, does not sell placement or advertising, and is built to keep the buyer’s priorities at the center.
